prints

Here are the three versions of the first plate I did at Limerick Printmakers. The first two I watercolored, the last is just the black ink, and what I did the edition in.

birds

Every day as the sun is almost done going down the crows here gather in huge groups and swirl around the sky. They land in the trees briefly and then move on, making a lot of noise, too. I've been desperately trying to capture this occurrence, that first picture is the best one I could get, if you look closely you can tell they are in the trees and all the smudges in the sky are birds as well. I decided to make a print based off this, so here are some of the results. I printed it in a few different color combos just for funsies. If you are interested in purchasing one I can make a special paypal listing just for you!

printing again

Well I became a member of the Limerick Printmaker's Studio while I am here in Ireland. It is a great space with great people. the only problem is me not having great ideas to make prints from. I need to figure that out fast, though, since I am only here one more month! This is the only print I have done so far (drypoint) and these couple didn't come out well, so I decided to try and rescue them with some hand coloring and ink.

simple

Here are prints from my first two editions in printmaking this semester. I did the first, an etching, in a black ink for the edition, the other is drypoint. Since then we have done monotypes and are working on large plates (these are probably 4x5")

I have continued on the watercolor kick, not feeling like oils. These are so different from how I used to watercolor, but I'm enjoying them, or rather some of them. Here are a few, I'll maybe add more later.
