Well here are some yummy food pictures since I have yet to take pictures of my sketchbook. These are the first pizzas I ever made on my own from scratch and they were extraordinary, and that's not just my opinion, many people benefited from my cooking that day and they all enjoyed them! And I included a picture of a salad type dish I made because the colors were just so vibrant- it too was delicious.

slacker

Sorry I'm slacking with the blog, good news is I now have Mondays off which means I won't be working 6 days a week anymore! So my free day will be for artistic pursuits.

flower highlights

Here's some of the flower stuff I've been doing lately at the shop, so many lovely colors for spring/summer! The only ones I didn't create are the top two, but I included them because of how awesome they are, especially that pink tulip with the orange stripe. I have yet to do bouquets (besides toss bouquets) but really I've done basically everything else flower related at this point! I did almost everything for the ceremony part of a wedding the other week, and then of course forgot to bring my camera which is seriously unfortunate. Hopefully the wedding photographer will put up photos and let me use some. 

announcement designs

I did some design work for some friends, sisters who are both graduating. I don't tend to do graphic design, I certainly am not trained for it but I'd like to think I'm alright. The first design is the one I really wanted her to pick, it was one of my first hastily done options for her, but she ended up with the second one. Same goes for Claire's set, I secretly wanted her to go for the apples, and while she liked them, she chose the second style. But that's what I always have trouble accepting, not everyone has my taste and I need to respect that. And I'm fairly satisfied with how they turned out, both finished announcements have an inside with more info, I just didn't feel like showing y'all those. 

Puritan Mill

This venue, Puritan Mill, is pretty darn gorgeous and the kind of place I would never have known about without my job. I also really liked this wedding because I got to do that giant branch hanging piece! It was with a lot of help from one of my coworkers who taught me a lot that week, which was great since I hardly ever get to work on the big stuff.

I made this tasty cake for my roomie's birthday but by the time I finished it was late at night and thus hard to photograph, though I did manage to capture Augusten staring longingly up at it.

My roommate has the most adorable pug and while i find him exhausting sometimes, I can't resist that face. So I made some fan art.
