my tree

I couldn't resist the white tinsel. It goes so well with my kitschy ornaments!

holiday peonies

I had these lovely peonies at home when Jess Smith who does the blogs Lady Flashback and I SPY ATL requested flowers for a shoot she was doing with West Elm. So I popped them some cute bud vases and she took lovely photos of them for a holiday cocktail shoot, a bar cart, and she even did a separate post just for my flowers! Blooms include burgundy peonies, rosehips, agonis and leaves off of a queen protea.

necklaces for sale

I have quite a lot of necklaces and pillows and such that I haven't managed to sell, so hopefully I will get my act together and set up an etsy soon. But I've been rather a slacker.

Jenny Lewis

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go see Jenny Lewis, one of my all time favorite musicians/goddesses. I missed out on seeing Rilo Kiley before they disbanded which still breaks my heart but she has made some great music since those days. Anyways, not only did I get to see her perform, I got to make her a flower arrangement! And met her! So this is what I gave her. I got sorghum, the queen protea and the little black chili peppers from a local wholesaler, stole some fall leaves from someone's tree and scrounged the calla lilies, dusty miller, billy balls and snap dragons from work.
