pink

Here are some pictures of designs I did for a wedding at Callenwolde here in Atlanta. I got to use cockscomb (the brainy looking flower) which is so weird and awesome, I wish more brides picked it.  The candelabra thingy was quite hard to photograph so I'm posting a fuzzy one, but it looked too nice to not share it!

back to it!

It has been an embarrassingly long time since I've worked with oils and since I've worked in my studio space. In fact I haven't ever used the "studio" space in my house. Sadly enough I often call it the poo room since that's where the litter box lives, and because there is no desk I usually just grab what I need and work on the dining room table. But today I decided to get productive and reworked a painting I wasn't all that enthusiastic about, I think it is much improved but since it's been a long while I would really love feedback- so please let me know what you think!

fave

This is one of my favorite arrangements I've made at home from lots of random leftovers. I tend to go for arrangements that are a bit more wild and textured. Simple is good too, but sometimes it's best to go all out.

Irish Cider!

When I was in Ireland we started the process of making both Sloe Gin and Cider but as both take months to complete, I didn't get to taste the end-product. UNTIL Meg and Rick brought me back some! I haven't sampled the Gin yet since I don't have the proper mixers but the cider opened with a satisfying pop tonight and it is crisp, tart, and tasty! Of course I made the label and I couldn't pick one photo so you'll just have to deal.

Blueberry Cottage

This is kind of an overload of photos, but the cottage and it's surroundings were so photogenic! My mother is back in the country, and the friends I lived with in Ireland were visiting so we (plus some other old friends) all went up to this cottage in the Appalachian mountains for just a few days. I picked lavender and milked goats and went on some walks, it was perfect and not long enough.

return to necklaces

Hey look, I made some necklaces! It's been forever, but an old friend of mine was in town and wanted to do some beading, it was the perfect thing to get me back in the groove. I was in lovely North Carolina over the weekend (pictures to follow) and found giant yellow clip on earrings, one of which is included in that top necklace. The brass flowers I used on the other necklace is a cast piece I made in college, but didn't like the beads I originally had strung with it so I cut it up and tried again.

tat

I recently realized that I should be taking pictures of the tattoos I design for people after they are actually inked. So when this one gets done I will be sure to document it!

assortment

I have so so so many lovely pictures of flowers that I haven't shared yet. But I don't want my blog to just be flowers so I'm trying to spread them out. Hope y'all are tired of looking at them, I'm sure not.
