eggs

I think I've shared pictures of my easter eggs on here before, but I will just reiterate how much I love decorating them. Here are some of this year's batch. I made them at night so there wasn't good light for taking pictures but when I tried to redo the photos in the morning my clumsiness struck and I broke ALL MY EGGS. It was tragic because then couldn't take them anywhere to share! I've seriously had the clumsiest week ever, I hope this trend doesn't continue. In an attempt to feel better I painted my nails all crazy like.

my dining room

The dining room in my new house is quickly becoming my favorite room. The one window lets in so much light, and decor-wise it's the most cohesive. There are a bunch of repainting projects I want to do, but none of them are in this room. The two gorgeous maps have been patiently waiting to be hung up for at least 6 years, I found them outside my high school (while I still attended) and immediately snatched them up but had no wall space for them until now.

I made a flower crown at work today just for funsies. I'm growing to like roses more and more, mainly because there are so many colors and types that I didn't know about before. Garden roses are definitely the best, I wish we used them more. 

baby's breath

Here is a wedding from a couple weeks ago I helped work on. It was SO MUCH BABY'S BREATH. Seriously, that stuff is stinky and we made 80 feet in total of garland. I also did candle swirls but didn't get to see them lit up at night. And completely unrelated, I miss Ireland (that bread, I mean come on)! I don't miss the weather, goodness no, but it was so meditative and gorgeous.

I am so so happy in my new home. It is so exciting having a space where I get to make basically all the aesthetic decisions. I brought home these flowers from work the other day and spent a bunch of time making these arrangements and taking pictures. I can't wait to take pictures of the house, but I think I will have to wait until the weekend so I can have morning light. Mainly I just take pictures of my cats because I love coming home to them both napping on my bed. Plus, they're really cute.

I was without internet for the past week while I was moving in to my new house. I was also without gas (as in heat, stove, warm water) for multiple days which was no fun. However, I love the place! It is almost all ready for pictures. I went back to Tallahassee to get all the many things I've been collecting for my future home and while I was there I visited my friend and her brad new baby, this is a little painting I made for her.
