I haven't posted anything besides my own art for a while. So it's about time. I cannot stop listening to Veronica Falls, I finally got the full album and dang is it addicting. What can I say, I'm a fan of catchy beachy grungy songs with mildly depressing lyrics. The music videos aren't that great, but I'll survive.

Usually bands produce at least one song that I tend to skip, but that is not true for the 37 songs of The Raveonettes that I have. Good music for makin' art to. This is a weird fan video by the way, but they don't make too many real videos.

sketchbook

I've never been one to keep up a sketchbook, I probably have around 20 of them hidden about my room from school, all about half filled. I am determined to finish this one! It is a great size which I'm sure will contribute to my imminent success. I will keep posting pictures as it gets filled. (You are also getting a sneak peek of the quilt I have just started making in the background.)

Here are some of my new creatures. I don't think I have included their names on this blog before, but naming these little guys it pretty darn fun. I know you are dying to know the amazing names I come up with so I will oblige. This batch includes Pearl, Milton, Jellybean, and Lupita.

fix it

I got a couple drops of black paint on this little gingham shirt of mine and decided that fate was telling me to embroider it. So I did and then took an awkward photo of myself in it. Enjoy.

just what you want

more necklaces! not sure if that is exciting anymore. But if you really do want them and you live in Tallahassee they will be for sale this weekend at my neighborhood's "Nene Fest." I unfortunately will not be there but my lovely mother will be selling her pottery and has agreed to sell my stuff too! I will have necklaces, purses and felted creatures so go by and snatch them up!

about time

Well I finally got out my oils last week. I have been resisting a bit because I no longer have a studio since I'm not in school anymore which means setting up in the living room. Which also means that I have to promptly clean up after (no fun.) I did these two pretty darn fast and I think I may rework them a little, but generally I am happy. Taking pictures on a red wall was probably not the best plan, but surely you will forgive me.

eggs

So I really like easter in terms of all the non-religious aspects. I decorate eggs every year and I love getting decked out in a ridiculously girly/floral/pastel outfit. Also cadbury cream eggs and jelly beans are irresistibly delicious and I always buy far too many of each.
