easter flowers

I'm not sure if sharing four pictures of the same arrangement is excessive, but I don't care because I need you to appreciate every adorable flower. I absolutely love hyacinths, they remind me of ice cream and they smell wonderful. Tulips are always good with me and these yellow ones blew my mind, they opened up almost like little peonies!

newly made dress

Since all I want to do is wear clothing shaped like bags I decided to make myself the comfiest dress of all time. This fabric is a super light cotton so it's like wearing nothing while still being socially acceptable. Perfect. I also made a little headband, which I will eventually share a tutorial of. Onion received a matching bandana which he adores, which I adore, which everyone adores. In fact, it seems to not bother him one bit which means I will be making him A LOT more.

country wedding

This event from a few weeks ago was out at Vinewood. It was my first time at this location, and it's quite lovely, very relaxed and a great piece of property. I would love to see someone drape all kinds of twinkly lights and lanterns from the barn ceiling!

coconut cake

Whelp, I made my first-ever coconut cake without ever having tasted one. Probably not the best plan. And for some reason, I thought all the recipes seemed wrong and either too complicated or not complicated enough so for the first time in my limited years of baking I attempted to combine recipes and it didn't really work out. It looked cute and tasted good, but not great, because it wasn't fluffy. So pretty please if you have an excellent recipe, throw it my way.

Onion would like you to visit my new website if you haven't already!

peony bouquet

Work is so insanely busy this week (7 weddings!!!!) that I really don't have the brain power or physical energy to do anything besides watch netflix, cook dinner and consume copious amounts of jellybeans. But hey, here is a pretty bouquet from a few weeks ago! (includes coral peonies, white ranunculus, pink astilbe, rosemary, succulents, seeded eucalyptus, pink roses)

prettiest ever.

I realize these pictures are rather repetitive. But I seriously think this is the most gorgeous combination of flowers I have held in my hands, and that is saying a lot as I get to handle flowers almost every day. But something about these colors and textures and the lovely shape of this little bouquet just slays me. This is made of leftovers that I just grabbed to take home and somehow this is more lovely to me than any of the bride's bouquets I've done. It's gotta be that hellebores. (Also pictured- anemones, ranunculus, champagne roses, white hypericum berry, willow eucalyptus, and pink parrot tulips.)

bright bouquet

I'm so used to doing muted or mostly white brides bouquets that this one seemed strange to me. But really it's nice when people want to experiment more with color, sometimes it's tiring working with the same color palette week after week (not that it makes the flowers any less amazing and lovely.)

I made a shirt!

I promise I'm more excited about it than I look in the pictures. Last night at approximately 9:30 I decided I wanted to be productive and so I copied a t-shirt I have and made this. It's not perfect but it's my first attempt as I plan on making multiple.

princess flowers

This event was fairytale themed. While this is not my fairytale ideal, I'm sure Cinderella would approve and there's no denying that it was cute.

raspberry scones

I am determined to make the perfect scones. Someday. These were close, but not quite crispy enough on the outside.
